Tybee Island - Michele Lynn Strickland, 51, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Memorial University Medical Center.

Michele was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a 1976 graduate of St. Vincent's Academy. Her parents, Robert and Donna Strickland preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Nicole Strickland; sister, Elizabeth "Terri" Hood; brother, Robert "Bear" Strickland, Jr.; niece, Christina Hood; nephews, Wesley Hood, Taylor Hood, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Service: 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. A Reception will follow in the school gym.

Remembrances may be made to St. Michaels Catholic Church, 802 Lovell Ave., Tybee Island, GA 31328 or St. Michael's Catholic School, 714 Lovell Ave. Tybee Island, GA 31328.
